The 9-hectare vineyard on the border between Zurich and Thurgau is run by Niklaus Zahner in the second generation. Since 1972, the vineyards have been fertilised exclusively with organic sheep manure. Zahner, an ETH agronomist with international experience, is passionate about Pinot Noir: his Truttiker Pinot Noir Barrique has won several awards, and he himself is one of very few Swiss winemakers to have been invited to the International Pinot Noir Celebration in Oregon several times.
