The white wine Ockenheimer Kreuz Grauer Burgunder Spätlese trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Bungert-Mauer has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Initially still rather restrained on the nose, then roasted aromas, some vanilla, smoke, red apple, peach blossom. On the palate there is a lot of texture and drive, rich, ripe fruit, grippy phenolics, hazelnut, vanilla, good structure, clearly characterised by the use of barrels, a lot of power, good length.
