The red wine »Kaliber 28« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery AdamsWein has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
On the nose a mix of chalk, currant leaves, Darjeeling tea alongside sweet nougat and some woody and resinous notes. In the mouth it's dry, with an almost humorless level of extraction - undoubtedly uncompromisingly vinified for ageing. Ripe tannins, with an intensely chalky mineral accompaniment, create length and great substance.
