Strong use of wood and an initial ripe spiciness, hints of red currant and dried fig. Medium-bodied on the palate, with carefully extracted, grainy tannins. Lots of juiciness and chalky mineral tension. Lively acidity. A powerful palate structure to a relatively aromatically developed wine.
