Deep, dark ruby with violet highlights. Initially displays slightly mineral and smoky notes, followed by rich aromas of blackberry and dark cherry, underpinned by earthy notes. On the palate, it displays lovely, ripe fruit; it opens with tightly woven, supple tannins, builds nicely, and is very round on the finish.
