The red wine Orto delle Monache Morellino di Scansano DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Argentaia has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense ruby red with garnet rim. Pronounced notes of herbal spice, some varnish and eucalyptus, subtle conserved fruit appears afterwards. The palate is well balanced with fresh acidity and taut tannins, fruity core of sour cherries and dark chocolate until the medium-long finish.
