The red wine Barocco Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Avide has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Frappato from the region Sicily in Italy.
Fine, elegant ruby red with slight brightening on the rim. Spicy nose with many layers, cocoa powder, liquorice, but also tobacco and leather support cassis and blackberry nuances. The palate is supple and elegant, spreads powerfully over the tongue, spreads nicely, mineral, slightly salty, unfortunately the finish is a bit bitter, lives up to its name.
