The red wine Ronco del Picchio Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Sandro Fay has been rated in 2026 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby with a fine garnet rim. Very inviting and rich nose of dried plums and cherries, with some tobacco and marshmallow. Plenty of ripe, sweet fruit on the palate, opens up with dense tannins, extremely long finish, still very youthful, well-integrated alcohol.
