The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Azienda Agricola Giovanni Corino has been rated in 2016 by Axel Biesler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
The first impression is almost numbing when initially all one can sense on the nose is alcohol, then subtle nuances of forest floor, chocolate, and pickled fruits emerge. It is very much a "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" wine because it tastes shockingly youthful, and makes an impression with robustly grainy tannins.
