The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery La Fortuna has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant garnet. Intense and clear nose, initially light on tar and iodine, clarifies quickly, then lots of ripe cherry and raspberry. Shows nice weight on the palate, ripe, dark fruit, pithy, hearty tannin, firm and gripping, fine sweet texture on the finish.
