Intense, sparkling ruby garnet; overwhelms with an intense nose of preserved cherries and plums, some wax and licorice in the background, multi-layered; full-bodied in the attack and finish, perfectly coats the palate, lots of ripe red fruit notes, tannin is very much there, but at the same time wonderfully packed into the fruit, elegant, with a finish of fine dark chocolate.
