Deep, dark ruby-garnet color, opaque core, violet highlights, delicate lightening at the rim. Hints of fine wood, black forest berries, and nougat; an attractive bouquet. Powerful, spicy, with a hint of vanilla and heart cherries; tannins that are still somewhat assertive; mineral notes and good length; sweet finish; will benefit from further bottle aging; caramel-like aftertaste.
