Tasting Notes

Tasting from 21.03.2014

Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate orange rim. Plum fruit underlaid with fine spicy notes, ripe cherries, pleasant roasted notes, some mocha. Juicy, lively dark berry fruit, medium complexity, already well developed and drinkable, pleasant extract sweetness, has further development potential.

Ethereal fragrance, liquorice, herbs. Immediately vivid on the palate, tightly interwoven soft and full-bodied components. Ripe tannin, broadly integrated, lively, finely nerved acidity, juiciness - all this is just beginning to become an amalgam, great charm, but also with clear extract reserves. Sticky, lingering and savoury. Very old school.

The old master is now one of the best again: a majestic modernized classic with cinnamon and toast notes, the finest cherry fruit, great density and yet with the Atlantic elegance of Rioja, the ripe tannins hold back, noble acidity finish.
