The white wine »Alte Reben« Gundersheim Königstuhl Riesling trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Burgunderhof Merkel has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Riesling from 55-year-old vines with aromas of citrus fruits and yellow paprika, also some caramel and floral notes. On the palate there is striking and invigorating acidity, more citrus fruits and also red apple. Not a heavyweight.
