The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Campogiovanni has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, radiant ruby red. On the nose, lots of sweet wood, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, delicate wood, cherries and blood oranges. On the palate sweet fruit, dominated by the use of wood, in the aftertaste loosely knit, currently very drying tannin.
