The red wine Mandrolisai rosso superiore, vintage 2013 from the winery Cantina del Mandrolisai has been rated in 2017 by Sautter, Ulrich with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grenache from the region Sardegna in Italy.
Complex and very pure aroma: a hint of wood, cocktail cherry, raspberry, macchia, almost reminiscent of Fernet Branca, strong alcohol and in this broad body frame somewhat defensive-looking crumbly tannin, very mild acidity, but also has a juiciness - and proves to be an independent wine with a salty component in the finish.
