The white wine Morandé Estate M&S Classics Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2021 from the winery Casa Morandé has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Casablanca Valley in Chile.
An initial whiff of flint leads onto notions of blackcurrant leaf, smokiness and pea shoots. More and more fruit -red white currant and peach - appears with more air. It is on the palate that the fruit bursts out, passion fruit framed by notions of fern and boxwood. Beautifully aromatic.
