The red wine Matidia Cesanese Lazio IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Casale del Giglio has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cesanese from the region Lazio in Italy.
Deep dark, almost impenetrable dark ruby. Opens the nose with slightly earthy nuances, then bruised blueberry, elderberry, a hint of mint, a delicate, fleshy, bacon finish. Fleshy fruit on the palate, also shows a lot of juice, with grippy tannins at the back, filigree toughness.
