The sparkling wine Vértice Alto Douro Vinho Espumante do Douro Brut, vintage 2013 from the winery Caves Transmontanas has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Gouveio, Malvasia Fina, Touriga Franca from the region Douro in Portugal.
Pale golden yellow, fine, persistent mousse. White tropical fruit with fresh lime zest in the background, a hint of mango and peach, mineral touch. Taut, tight-knit, lively, green apple on the palate, lemony-fresh, good persistence, a crisp aperitif with a salty finish. (Deg. 3/2019).
