Tasting Notes
Deep, dark ruby-garnet colour, opaque core, violet highlights, a delicate lightening at the rim. Cranberry, blackcurrant, blackberry leaves, milk chocolate. A hint of caramel from the oak. The palate is full-bodied and robust, very dense yet well-balanced; it comes across as quite precise, with a penetrating minerality, whilst the dryness typical of the vintage is only very subtly pronounced. A powerful wine, and complete in itself. (U.S)
