It is hard to imagine more Bordeaux at this price than from this neighbour of Calon-Ségur under the same management. Subtle boisée, ripe Merlot (cocoa bean) meets peppery, cassis-fruity Cabernet. On the palate it is like velvet and silk, finely flowing, ripe integrated acidity, a wine from a single mould. Should be gluggable after five years and easily keep for 20 years.
