Tasting Notes

Tasting from 01.01.2025: Peter Moser

A dark ruby red, an opaque core, purple hues, some brightening on the rim. Subtle savoury notes, blackberry confit, tobacco nuances, cassis, complex, tightly meshed, cherry, good freshness, ripe, structured tannins, some nougat, persistent, excellent ageing potential, would easily pass as a Pauillac in a blind tasting, the savoury nuances of St. Julien only emerge on the finish. (25/1, +25, PM).

Deep dark ruby garnet colour with opaque core and purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Ripe plums and sweet cherries, cloves, candied orange zest, some nougat, inviting bouquet. Complex, taut, fine fruitiness, ripe, supporting tannins, mineral and salty finish, a touch of chocolate in the background, good ageing potential.
