The red wine Minervois AOC Le Marquis, vintage 2012 from the winery Chateau d´Oupia has been rated in 2017 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah from the region Minervois in France.
Very closed on the nose, some wood. Soft, velvety palate, very round and homogeneous in its pressure build-up, still closed here too, but with a subtle juiciness and a noticeable minerality that binds the alcohol. When the aromas unfold, certainly a candidate for 90+ points, but completely submerged at the moment.
