Deep ruby-garnet color with violet highlights. The nose is dominated by ripe Merlot, with juicy dark berries and heart-shaped cherries, underpinned by a pleasant toasty note and a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, with black berry jam and round tannins; shows good length. A fine example of the vintage of the century. (Falstaff Best Buy)
