Medium ruby garnet, broad ochre rim. Quite restrained on the nose, reveals very little fruit, delicate tobacco and leafy nuances, fine dried fruit notes. Medium-bodied on the palate, taut tannins, red berries, racy acid structure, coarse-grained tannins, slightly drying, becomes rather acidic and short on the finish, was rated much higher a few years ago, has now perhaps slumped a little.
