The red wine Réserve de la Comtesse, vintage 2005 from the winery Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande has been rated in 2006 with 90 - 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Pauillac in France.
Very strong ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening, fine strawberry fruit on the nose, delicately spicy petit-verde notes of graphite and tangerine peel. Very balanced and full of finesse on the palate, fine peppery spice, very well-balanced tannins, pleasant toasted notes, some mocha in the finish, lingers well, already a wonderfully drinkable wine with a fine caramel note in the aftertaste.
