Tasting Notes
Very dark ruby-garnet in colour, with purple reflections. Ripe heart cherries, hints of orange, fine herbal savouriness and some delicate floral undertones on the nose, underlaid with a hint of liquorice. The palate is full-bodied, with savoury black berry fruit and vivid, wonderfully integrated tannins. Some delicately bitter chocolate notes emerge towards the finish, which is persistent. This shows great substance despite its balance, with certain ageing potential for many years to come. Not to be missed.
