Tasting from 14.02.2019: Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler

Dark and intense ruby red with a bright core and purple reflections. Inky on the nose, overwhelmed by wood, lots of (too much) vanilla and roasted aromas. Dark fruity on the palate with a multi-layered body, expansive, but then harsh and drying due to the excessive use of wood.
