Dark, bright ruby garnet, dark color core, ruby red reflections, delicate edge brightening. Intense aromas of precious wood and polish on the nose, something of an old man's room, balsam and liquorice, underlaid with dark berry confit. Complex and full-bodied on the palate, delicate notes of cassis, well-integrated tannins, balanced, powerful yet fresh, already showing considerable length, licorice on the finish, very good substance, has the makings of something great.
