Tasting Notes
Musigny at its best. This wine wraps itself around the senses like a fine silk scarf - everything is integrated, nothing standing alone. Neither fruit nor oak take centre stage, but blend harmoniously into a complex, coherent overall picture. The aromas unfold slowly, with notes of wild blueberry, ripe wild cherry and a hint of dark chocolate hovering over the red-fruit base. On the palate, ripe cherry meets the finest tannin, supported by a fresh, precise acidity that gives the wine backbone, energy and length. Fine oak is perfectly integrated, but still emerges delicately on the finish, which is exceptionally long, characterized by nuances of liquorice, nougat and fine cocoa - a quiet, deeply resonating finish.
