The red wine Pernand-Vergelesses Ile Des Vergelesses 1er Cru, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine Marius Delarche has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Bourgogne in France.
Quite complex and already in it's first stages of development: the nose brings notes of undergrowth, red currant and peat, with some sour cherry too. It's surprisingly lean and juicy on the palate, with the tannins that are grainy and persistent but remain measured. The acidity is very well integrated and underlines the subtle mineral components. Combines power with finesse very well.
