The Clos des Ducs, monopolized by the Marquis d'Angerville, covers two hectares and 40 ares. Strong carmine garnet, delicate watery rim, brighter at the edge. Intense soft cherry fruit, fine suede leather, hint of tobacco. Relatively firm texture on the palate, the tannins still seem a little rough, somewhat dominant structure, therefore still unfinished overall, at least in the magnum, cranberry fruit on the finish, tapers off somewhat on the finish.
