The red wine Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru AOC, vintage 2003 from the winery Domaine Michel Gros has been rated in 2006 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Cote de Nuits in France.
Strong ruby garnet, delicate watery rim, brighter around the edges. Intense dark berry confit on the nose, delicately smoky, a delicate animal touch, mineral notes. Full-bodied and fresh on the palate, dark berry confit, very well integrated tannin structure, delicate animal notes again, very elegant and straightforward, red berry finish. Still a touch too young, will benefit from further bottle ageing.
