Deep, dark ruby-garnet color with violet highlights and a delicate rim. Intense woody spice, underpinned by nuances of vanilla and caramel, black berry fruit, and toasty notes. Powerful, full-bodied cherry fruit, subtle sweetness from the extract, prominent yet well-integrated oak, fresh structure, delicate hints of nougat and blackberries; the finish is again dominated by toasty notes and will benefit from further bottle aging.
