The red wine Cuvée Private Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaines Kilger has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Merlot from the region Southern Styria in Austria.
Intense ruby colour with purple reflections and a discreet bright rim. Juicy cherry fruit, dark berry confit, mineral savouriness, delicious herbal notions and a hint of fine wood show on the nose. On the palate, the wine has a pleasant sweet texture, fine integrated tannins, a breath of nougat and red berry fruit. It is finely meshed in a salty-taut style, persistent, still very young with good further ageing potential.
