Deep crimson garnet with purple reflections and a broad ochre rim. Fresh wild berries, nuances of liquorice and cranberries, a touch of precious wood, and orange zest underneath. Juicy, ripe strawberries repeat on the palate which shows fine tannin structure. There's an almost sweet aftertaste on the finish which shows good length and drive. Already well developed and gluggable, but with sure ageing potential.
