The red wine Dogana Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Fattoria Palazzo Vecchio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby red with a brighter core. Very savoury nose of Amarena cherry, milk chocolate, dried violet, plus a hint of strawberry confit. Then great fruit and juiciness on the palate. The wine opens heartily and with tightly woven tannins; the finish is hearty with minimal post-drying.
