The red wine San Lazzaro Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Fattoria di Valiano has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
Deep ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Aromas of blackberry and plum on the nose, followed by notes of vanilla and chestnut. Textured on the palate with lots of dark fruit, but clearly characterised by wood on the finish, unfortunately with lots of drying tannins.
