Lush aroma of ripe cherry, sloe and elderberry, plus chocolate, savoury notes and a hint of purple fruit, with aeration also roasted elements and delicate vanilla. Rich, ripe tannins on the palate, well-integrated acidity, some menthol, red fruits again, all tightly woven and punchy. Has plenty of substance and should age well.
