The red wine Granmassenti Perricone Monreale DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Feudo Disisa has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Deep garnet with purple shimmer. On the nose graphite, dark leather, bees wax and very ripe black currant, a faint echo of liquorice. Vegetal palate with brittle tannins, short, seems unbalanced.
More about the tastingRich, bright ruby red. Spicy nose of ivy, green bell pepper, cassis, some gooseberry. Rich and juicy tannins on the palate, grippy, finely-meshed tannins, still young, can and should still mature.
