The red wine Camelot IGT, vintage 2007 from the winery Firriato has been rated in 2011 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Sicily in Italy.
Rich, impenetrable ruby purple colour. Very appealing, rich nose, lots of clear, ripe cassis notes, underpinned by subtle savoury flavours, beautiful play, cedar wood in the background. Full-bodied and rich in the attack and on the palate, with lots of vivid fruit, cassis and blackberries, unfolds with dense, interwoven tannins, a beautiful textured finish, surprisingly fresh.
