Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a touch of edge brightening. Some chocolate underneath dark forest berry jam on the nose, with plum and blackberry notes in particular. There's also a subtle wood savouriness and roasted aromas - an inviting bouquet. Complex on the palate and pronounced in fruit, with firm, fine, integrated tannin structure. Heart cherries on the finish with a salty aftertaste. It's long-lasting with certain ageing potential, and will benefit from bottle ageing.
