Medium ruby red with slight brightening on the rim. Pickled cherries and ripe plums on the nose, a spicy, leathery touch from the wood ageing on the aftertaste, seems very slightly animalistic. The palate is fruity-sweet, harmonious and salty, the tannins are a bit drying on the finish.
