The white wine Neuleiningen Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Gut Obercarlenbach – Weingut Bernd & Annette Meckel has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The Meckels' small Riesling shines with distinction on the nose: much more nutty and very delicate wood than primary fruit. On the palate, crisp acidity keeps the Riesling's usual slight residual sugar in check, building up a lovely tension.
