Dark cherry red. Still somewhat restrained nose. Aromas of elderberry, sweet cherries and preserved plums. Toasted notes, some dark tobacco. Powerful, demanding, monumental, ripe tannins, tightly meshed, with fabulous length. With a chalky minerality on the finish.
