The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Il Macchione has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Elegant and bright ruby red colour. On the nose there is a ripe raspberry aroma, with light black tea, rich plum, and some chocolate. It has a juicy palate, and is delicate with a good balance, opening with spicy notes and firm tannins. It has a harmonious finish and is powerful on the back palate.
