The red wine Marques de Borba Reserva Alentejo DOC, vintage 2000 from the winery J. Portugal Ramos Vinhos S.A. has been rated in 2004 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Loureiro from the region Alentejo in Portugal.
Deep dark, youthful ruby garnet, almost black, opaque core, delicate violet edge brightening, fine mocha roast aromas in the nose, dark berries underlaid, still undeveloped on the palate, powerful tannins, very massive, still rather restrained on the finish, still needs bottle ageing.
