The red wine Amfora Teran, vintage 2020 from the winery Kabola Winery has been rated in 2026 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Teran from the region Istria in Croatia.
Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate ochre rim. Plum fruit underlaid with a hint of nougat caramel, nuances of herbs and dark wild berries. Powerful, but juicy and round, fine extract sweetness, ripe, polished tannins, has developed very well, an elegant Teran style, a versatile food companion with future potential.
More about the tastingBright ruby in colour with purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, floral aromas, red cherry, a hint of mandarin zest, underpinned by subtle herbal spice. The palate is juicy and elegant, with ripe red cherry notes, fresh acidity, and a hint of nougat on the saline-mineral finish, a refined food wine.
