The red wine »Uringa 962« Ihringen Fohrenberg Merlot trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Kaiserstühler Winzer Ihringen eG has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Baden in Germany.
It has aromas of cherry, cassis and plum, along with lovely smoke and spiciness, also a hint of peppermint and dark chocolate. On the palate is displayed the power and substance of the 2018 vintage, along with a vivid acidity, notes of black cherry and elderberry, grippy tannins and good length.
