Dark ruby, purple reflections, faint ochre rim. Underpinned with subtle fine wood spice, black wild berry fruit, a hint of sweet spice, some vanilla, a hint of dried plums in the background. Full-bodied, sweet black cherries, powerful, supporting tannins, dark nougat, fine toasty aromas, good freshness and length, will benefit from further bottle ageing.
